Dear Preschool Parents,
Our farm unit this month is helping us to discover how plants grow and the importance of the farmer in bringing food to our tables. We are growing lima beans this week in class. Our letter of the week is the letter Yy and we are excited to see what items come from home on Friday.
Our annual Pre-K "Water Day" is set for Friday, May 25th starting at 9:00. Parents who have volunteered to work an Activity Station may arrive at 8:45 to pick an activity.
Your child may wear a swimsuit under their play clothes (they don't have to wear a uniform). This way your child will only have to take off their outer clothes to begin with and then change back into them afterwards. Boys may wear their swimsuits to school and bring their underwear and play shorts in a bag. Each child will need to bring the following to school in a plastic bag (grocery type bag will do).
* underwear
* a towel
* water shoes or old tennis shoes
(NO CROCS/NO SANDALS because of the mulch)
They can wear the shoes that will remain dry to school and we will assist them in changing to the shoes that can get wet right before we go out.
Important dates ahead:
Friday, May 25th – Water Day (see information above)
Monday, May 28th – Memorial Day – No SCHOOL
Thursday, May 31st – Last Day for Preschool - Noon Dismissal
VERY IMPORTANT SUMMER CAMP NEWS!!!!
SUMMER CAMP for Preschoolers (ages 3 and 4) : We need a final count of interested families for the Preschool Summer Camp to make arrangements, schedules, and obtain materials. PLEASE respond ASAP if you would like to send your child to Summer Camp. Information is being sent home again this week in the Thursday envelope.
Spread the word around..... Our Preschool is filling up with many new students. If you know a family looking for a Preschool, especially VPK, it’s time to get them in to visit our Preschool. Have interested families write your name on their registration. Our enrollment is limited!
****Pre-K needs more paper towels for cleaning. You may obtain VOLUNTEER hours for a donation of an 8 pack or larger of paper towels and a bag of play sand. Just ask your teachers.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Forget, Mrs. Thomas, and Mrs. Brown
