Enrichment Folders
A letter was sent home to inform parents about the enrichment activities that are being done in the classroom. Each child will have a folder with optional work that has been selected for them (remember these papers will not be the same for each student). Students know these papers are there as an option when they have completed other work. These papers/projects may seem harder at first as they are meant to challenge the students to the next level. If at anytime you have any questions please contact me.
Optional Work: Any enrichment type activities that will further our units of study will be listed here. Please remember this is all optional and there is nothing that must be turned in.
1. Create a May calendar with Holidays included.
2. Research any famous inventor and write facts about what they invented. We will present these to our class.
Useful Information
Parents…please do not forget to send a healthy morning snack for your child. Pretzels, granola bars, fruits, cheese, crackers etc. are all great choices.
Lunch time snack purchases- 1st grade is allowed to purchase a snack from the table only on Friday if they have eaten everything inside their lunch box. Please discuss with your child. It is school policy that students do not purchase ice cream at the snack table.
