We will distinguish real and make believe in stories. We will use our question words for listening comprehension: who, what, where, when, why
We are practicing word chunks: -ig, -ad, -op, -an, -ed, -up.
Our story this week is This is the Way We Go to School.
We are learning more compound words and identifying the main idea in stories.
Math practice this week deals with greater than and less than, addition and number writing.
We are reviewing shapes and patterns. Coins are counted daily for money practice. We are beginning some fraction work (halves and quarters).
Our Very Hungry Caterpillar books are close to completion. The students enjoyed the Eric Carle video; we are painting our pretty papers this week.
Watch for letter formation with your child. Practice spelling words and identifying beginning and ending sounds. Rhyme words when you are traveling in the car.
Our world map puzzles are out this week so the students are learning continents and oceans. World flags are featured as well as the different times.
Our potato clock will keep us on time this week. Ask your child about this unique clock!
Deputy Bustin and Mrs. Richmond will present a safety/stranger danger lesson this week to both kindergarten classes.
Religion will focus on Easter and New Life! Both kindergarten classes will attend 8:15 Mass this Friday, May 18. Meet us in Church if you are able.
